In addition, our operative scope includes surgery for portal hypertension and major arterial and venous surgery of the upper abdomen.
We treat conditions such as pancreatitis, gallstones, cancer, tumors and organ failure. Our surgeons have specialized expertise in innovative surgical procedures, including robotic and laparoscopic surgery. We also offer surgical procedures performed without blood transfusions.
Our patients benefit from the collective expertise of a multidisciplinary surgical team. We are able to combine the latest research, advances in patient treatments and education to provide the best possible patient care.
We pioneered and regularly practice the use of transfusion-free surgical procedures that emphasize the conservation of blood products during major abdominal procedures. These transfusion-free techniques are employed regardless of religious affiliation of the patient and promote a smoother recovery.
Our experienced surgical team successfully performed the first live donor transplant between adults in Southern California. We have performed more than 1,000 kidney transplants, and our patient outcomes are consistently among the best in the nation.
